"Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" - VC "Zhytichi-Polissia" – 0:3 (23:25, 17:25, 26:28)
In the final match of the first stage of the championship of Ukraine 2022-2023, the "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" and VC "Zhytichi-Polissia" met on the court. After the previous match, where MHP volleyball players lost to Reshetylivka (1:3), Serhii Tereykovsky's team had every chance to become third at the end of the regular championship. It was enough for the team from Zhytomyr to win with a score of 3:0 or 3:1.
In the first set, the players of "Zhytychi" became the leaders (17:11). However, the "youth" was not going to give up and thanks to a number of blocks and attacks, as well as mistakes of the opponent, was able to equalize the score (17:17). However, Zhytomyr did better in the end - 25:23.
In the second set, Volodymyr Romantsov's players did not manage to impose a fight at all. Instead, the team from Zhytomyr played confidently and flawlessly - 25:17.
Having rested a little, the volleyball players of the "National team of Ukraine U-18" still tried to win at least one set from their formidable opponent. But experience and a great desire to climb to the third step of the tournament table played a role - 28:26 and 3-0 in favor of "Zhytychi - Polissia".
The most productive player of the match was the player from the "Barkom-National team of Ukraine U-18" Eduard Shteryk (16 points).
The MVP prize was awarded to Denys Hubenko, the attacker of VC "Zhytichi-Polissia".
