Qualification for the 2024 European Championship (women)

Slovenia — Ukraine 3-1 (25:16, 28:26, 21:25, 25:19)

Ukrainian volleyball players of U-18 team played their debut match at the second stage of qualification for the European Championship 2024 against peers from Slovenia. Unfortunately, in this confrontation, blue and yellows took only one set.

The first set was completely dictated by the rivals, where our athletes were able to score 16 points. However, after the break, they played more loosely and almost immediately took the lead.

At a certain moment, the advantage of Anastasiia Kotliarenko's wards was seven points (15:22). It seemed that in the second set, defeat for the Slovenians was inevitable. However, the latter significantly increased their defense and, having gathered courage, rushed to catch up. As a result, they turned everything upside down - 28:26.

The next segment took place in an equal struggle (21:21). In the end, the Ukrainians took the initiative and still managed to change the score in sets - 21:25. However, our girls failed to maintain this winning pace - 25:19.
