The wards of Yuliia Yakusheva paid the debt to the Rivne team for the last defeat and eventually took fifth place in the Super League-Dmart 2023/24. At the same time, "Regina" ends the current season in sixth place.
The fight for every point is how the start of this meeting should be characterized (6:6, 8:8). For a long time, none of the teams could break away from the score by more than two or three points. However, the guests still possessed minimal initiative.
Valeriia Yakusheva quite expectedly and successfully assumed the role of the leader in the attack. One of the similar shots of the outside hitter forced Antonina Zhuk to take a timeout (20:16). Soon the answer was found on the other side of the net in the person of Andriana Pavlyk, but her efforts proved to be insufficient — 25:20.
The next set was marked by "swings", but the rivals reached the finish line with approximately the same chances of success (20:19, 22:21). And once again, the bold actions of the captain of "Dobrodiy" became key in the second set — 25:23.
The third set turned out to be the final in the series for the 5th-6th places in the championship. After the two previous failures, the Rivne team noticeably psychologically came together, which was also indicated by the double advantage of their opponents on the equator of the set (12:6). Until the end of the set, the representatives of "Regina" could not recover — 25:11.
