One of the most anticipated matches of the seventh game week started with an equal struggle (7:7). Each of the teams sought to defeat the main rival and finally take the lead in the number of head-to-head matches in the regular season. The score was even until the end of the set (17:17). Serhii Kovalenko's team acted more efficiently at the decisive moment - 25:21.
In the second set, the teams already "felt the game" and started a battle of aces. It's a pity that we don't know the speed of the serves that Vitaly Sukhinin, Viktor Shapoval, and Andrii Stebletskyi performed one after another, but that they were extremely powerful is a fact! And again, there was an even men's fight on the ground of the "PVLU" arena (20:20). And again in the end, the players of "Law Academy" performed better - 25:22.
The long break benefited Kostyantyn Ryabukha's team: they rested well, discussed the mistakes they made before, and corrected them (8:4). The team from Vinnytsia increased the percentage of effective attacks (57%), and as a result able to win the set - 25:20.
The fourth set was important for both teams: a chance to continue the game for the players from Trostyanets or to end the match and gain three points for the "lawyers". The team from Vinnytsia managed to cope with their emotions better: although they lost during the set (4:7), they were able to rehabilitate in time in the eyes of their own fans and mentor (18:15). Kostyantyn Ryabukha's team once again demonstrated team spirit and, by winning the set (25:23), moved the game to a tiebreak.
The start of the decisive set was in favor of "MHP" (2:0). The No. 1 task for Vinnytsia club was to maintain this minimal advantage. And they managed it, although it was not easy, but - 15:12. And as a result, 3:2 in favor of VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM".
Viktor Shapoval the opposite of the Kharkiv team was the most productive player of the match (19 points).
The MVP prize was awarded to the captain of VC "MHP-Vinnytsia" Bohdan Tatarenko.
