On March 8, the fourth and fifth teams, based on the results of the regular championship of Ukraine, entered the fight for the semifinals - VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM" (Trostianets) and VSC "Law Academy" (Kharkiv), respectively.
From the first minutes of the match, the team from Kharkiv seized the initiative: the powerful serve of captain Vitalii Sukhinin left no chance for the players of Vinnytsia (5:1). The advantage grew (16:10) and in the end "lawyers" took the lead in the set count - 25:21.
The beginning of the second set was under the complete control of Kostiantyn Riabukha's team (6:3). But closer to the end, the players of Vinnytsia lost their advantage, and the "lawyers" managed to equalize the score (20:20). There was an even sportive fight on the court of the "PVLU" arena, which was won by the team from Kharkiv - 25:23.
In the third set, the Vinnytsia volleyball players did not play well at all, instead, the Kharkiv players confidently went to an "easy" victory in the first quarter-final match (6:1 - 17:9). In the end, 25:20 and 3:0 in favor of "Law Academy".
The most productive player of the match was Viktor Shapoval (14 points) the opposite of the Kharkiv club.
Viacheslav Perekhodniuk, a libero of the VSC "Law Academy", received the MVP award.
