The central match of the 8th round of the Super League-Budinvest promised to be incredibly interesting. Although the first minutes of the match did not have any intrigue: Kharkiv took the lead (8:2), Zhytomyr did not cope with reception, and in rare moments of attack ran into the opponent's block (8:14). Towards the end, the situation changed: the game became even (18:18). "Zhytychi" did not want to give away the first set, and Kharkiv players were missing something all the time. But as a result, they withstood the pressure of their opponent and won the starting set - 30:28.
In the second set, the "lawyers" again took the lead (6:2). And it seems that such a gap in the score only motivates Zhytomyr volleyball players: they once again managed to catch up (15:16). However, in the end, they were again unable to decide the fate of the set in their favor. 25:19 and already two sets in favor of "Law Academy".
After a long break, Kharkiv athletes had to make one step of 25 points to end this round on a positive note. There were considerable difficulties with the performance of this task (15:15 - 20:20). But Viktor Shapoval's ace and then his attack corrected the situation (22:20). In the end, 25:22 and 3:0 for the "Law Academy".
The most productive player of the match was Viktor Shapoval, an opposite player from Law Academy. He brought his team 21 points and received the MVP award.
