On March 5, the first round of the men's Super League-Dmart play-out match series of the 2023-2024 season started at the PVLU arena.
Play-out is a tournament of teams that took 7-9 places in the first stage of the championship of Ukraine.

The starting set started quite smoothly (6:6 - 15:15). Both teams were full of strength and desire to win. However, in one of the rallies, Mykhailo Yakushenko, the opposite of the "MHP" player, made a mistake, and Artem Troyanovskyi, a follow-up player from "Bukovyna", on the contrary, effectively completed the attacks, winning a break point (17:15). This moment became a turning point, because the advantage of Chernivtsi only grew (20:17). As a result, Volodymyr Orlov's wards won the first set - 25:20.
In the second set, Chernivtsi captain Heorhii Klepko served an ace in the first rally and then created a lot of problems for the opponents with his serve (3:0). This difficult start somewhat confused the players of Vinnytsia and they continued to act confused and made mistakes in attack and defense (3:7 – 6:15). In the end, 25:15 in favor of Bukovyna.
After a 10-minute break, the players of Vinnytsia seemed to have woken up (4:1). However, their ardor was short-lived: the Bukovyn players were more skilled on the block and they completed their attacks more effectively (8:8), which cannot be said about MHP. They sometimes directed the ball into the out, or it was caught by the net (8:13). In the end, the team from Chernivtsi calmly and confidently went to their first victory in the play-out series (20:17). In the end, 25:22 and 3-0 for VSC Bukovyna.
The most productive players of the meeting are opposites of both teams Taras Oleksiuk (15 points) and Mykhailo Yakushenko (15 points).
The MVP prize went to Maksym Svyrydov, the outside hitter of Bukovyna.
