On August 11, the volleyball players of the national team of Ukraine played the second friendly match against Greece at the meeting in Athens. We would like to remind you that yesterday the owners of the court lost to blue-yellows with a score of 3-2. On this day, the Greek women, of course, wanted to take revenge in the meeting. However, our girls were once again able to show their character and eventually repeated their previous result, defeating their opponents on a tie-break — (25:16, 25:27, 19:25, 26:24, 15:12).

As for the meeting itself, the teams started it with a constant changing of the leader, and the initiative changed hands for some time. At a certain point, organized actions over the net by Anastasiia Kraiduba and Diana Meliushkina, followed by two consecutive aces by Daria Sharhorodska allowed the blue-yellow team to organize a comfortable handicap — 16:13. In the end, this spurt of theirs became the turning point in the set— 25:16.

At the start of the next set, Ivan Petkov's wards continued to dictate their conditions on the court. At the same time, the gap between the teams grew with each rally. The coach of the Greek volleyball players tried to save the situation with time-outs. And it worked: they evened the parity, and with a "more or less" game they triumphed in general - 25:27.

The third set was unsuccessful for our players. They had little success both in defense and attack in those moments. Therefore, in the end, the result is 19:25. Throughout the fourth set, the Ukrainians were playing a role catch-ups. Instead, towards the end, they won a protracted rally and tied the score - 18:18. This moment added strength to the blue-yellow team - 26:24. As in yesterday's meeting, it was our players who were stronger on the tie-break - 15:12.

Starting line-up of the national team of Ukraine: Diana Meliushkyna, Anastasiia Maievska, Nadiia Kodola, Daria Sharhorodska, Yevheniia Khober, Krystyna Niemtseva, Anastasiia Kraiduba.
