The opponents of the volleyball players of the national women's team of Ukraine in the Challenger Cup - a qualifying tournament for the Nations League-2024 have been decided. The competition will start from the 1/4 final stage, where Ivan Petkov's team will play against Croatia.
The winning team will be known after one match. It will take place on July 27 in the French city of Laval at 21:30 Kyiv time.
In total, eight national teams from different continents are participating in the tournament:
- Colombia - the national team with the highest rating in South America (currently 17th in the world rating)
- Mexico – the winner of the continental championship NORCECA-2022 (19)
- France – host of the tournament (20)
- Ukraine - a finalist of the European Golden League (21)
- Croatia – relegated from the Nations League (25)
- Sweden – finalist of the European Golden League (27)
- Kenya - the national team with the highest rating in Africa (29)
- Vietnam - the winning team of the Asian Challenge Cup (47)
The hosts of the competition, France, will play against the last national team in the rating - Vietnam. Other pairings were formed based on the FIVB ranking.
