The EEVZA-2022 championship among women's U-17 teams is underway in Daugavpils, Latvia. We would like to remind you that the blue-yellow team also participates in the competition, and they show excellent results there.

On December 7, our athletes played against the tournament hosts - the Latvians. In the previous round, these national teams won synchronous "easy" victories over Lithuania and Estonia, respectively. Therefore, both of them approached today's confrontation in a great mood. Fortunately, Andrii Romanovych's team managed to transform it into a victory.

For most of the first half of the game, the teams were evenly matched - 14:14. Next, the Ukrainian team won five rallies in a row and broke away from the score. Two time-outs did not help Latvia to level the situation - 21:25.

The development of the second and third sets resembled the previous one. None of the teams was distinguished by stability, but our athletes themselves had more initiative, so in the end, they triumphed - 21:25 and 19:25.

Tomorrow, December 8, in the third round of SEVZA, the blue-yellow team will meet the Polish team. The teams have not yet felt the bitterness of defeats in the tournament. The broadcast is on the DIVISPORT VOLLEYBALL YouTube channel at 1:30 p.m.
