EEVZA Championship (women U-17)
December 10. Daugavpils Latvia
Ukraine — Georgia 3-0 (25:13, 25:22, 25:14)
On the final game day of the EEVZA-2022 championship, Andrii Romanovych's team met with the representatives of Georgia. After the last two defeats against Poland and Estonia, the Ukrainians still had the opportunity to compete for medals, so today they only needed a victory.
In the starting set, our opponents regularly did not keep up with the high-speed actions of the blue-yellow team. The latter produced one of their best sets at this tournament, in which the Georgians managed to score only 13 points.
Opponents drew conclusions in the break between games and noticeably added - 7:7. However, Romanovych's team equally possessed the initiative and deservedly celebrated the victory - 25:22. The third set was the final in the match, where the Ukrainians continued to dictate their conditions on the court — 25:14.
The final position of the teams in the standings will be determined after today's face-to-face match between Latvia and Poland, which starts at 16:00.
