On Thursday, March 9, "Epicenter-Podolany" and "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" played their second quarter-final match. In the first match, Podolyany defeated the last team in the regular championship with a score of 3:0.
Today that situation happened again. The first set took place under the complete control of the team of the Polish specialist Mariusz Sordyl (13:7). The final point in the first set was put by Yevhenii Kisiliuk, who performed a "pipe" from a perfect pass by Vladyslav Didenko – 25:14.
The next set was similar to the first even in the final score: the Podolyany did their job professionally and followed all the instructions of the coach (8:1 - 11:3). On the other hand, Volodymyr Romantsov's team did not succeed in anything: they made a lot of their own mistakes and the opponent's level was unattainable for them – 14:25.
After a long break, the "youth" was able to collect her thoughts a little and finally imposed a fight on their famous opponent (13:13 - 16:16). However, the reigning champion and winner of the League Cup 2022 acted flawlessly in the end (20:17) and eventually won the third set in a row – 25:20.
Andrii Rohozhyn, the middle blocker of the Bisons, received the MVP award.
