The Zhytomyr club "Zhytychi-Polissia" could not repeat the success of the first match of the 1/32 finals of the CEV Cup and lost to the Serbian "Vojvodina".

At the start of the home match, the hosts immediately took the initiative (3:10). Already at the equator of the set, the head coach of Zhytomyr Serhii Tereikovskiy was forced to use both time-outs (5:14). But they did not change the situation - 20:25 in favor of Vojvodina.

An equal struggle followed (8:8 – 15:15), but the Serbs were able to score three points in a row thanks to a mistake by the "Zhytychi", their block and an ace (15:18). It was difficult for the players of Zhytomyr to cope with the opponent's attacks, but instead they played well in the defense - 18:25.

However, in the next, third set, the Ukrainian team "took hold of itself", and began to make fewer mistakes, and the attacks of Mykyta Luban, Viktor Shapoval, and Alen Didovic left no chance for the Serbs - 25:19.

Unfortunately, the players of Zhytomyr could not repeat their success again. From the first whistle, the Serbs seized the initiative and began to dictate the pace of the game (1:5 – 8:12). Vojvodina's dominance continued until the end of the set - 19:25 and 1-3 in the end.
