The reigning champion of the country is one step away from reaching the 1/8 finals of the CEV Cup - the second most important European Cup tournament.

In the first match, which took place on November 23 in Romania, the Dnipro team beat the Dutch team "Lycurgus" with an "easy" score (3:0).

And on November 29, the return match will be held at the ground of the team from the city of Groningen.

In order to reach the 1/8 finals of the CEV Cup, "red and whites" need to win only two sets against the opponent.

After the first match, "Prometey" stayed in Romania and continued to actively prepare for the decisive game and only arrived in Groningen on November 27.

Meanwhile, "Lycurgus" returned home and on November 25 had time to play an away match of the national championship of the Netherlands, in which they defeated the Hazen team (3:0).

We would like to remind you that last season the team from the city of Groningen became the winner of the Super Cup and the Cup of the country, and also won the bronze awards of the national championship.
