The start of the match was for the reigning champion of the country: the Dnipro team immediately attacked powerfully, and team captain Vitalii Shchytkov made an ace (4:1). Both teams demonstrated high-quality, fast, and European volleyball. +3 earned by "Prometey" at the beginning gradually increased thanks to (11:7 - 14:9 - 20:15). In the end, Flavio Gulinelli's wards won the first set - 25:20.
In the second set, an even fiercer struggle ensued (4:4 – 9:9). "Bisons" were able to earn break points on Eemi Tervaporti's serve (12:9). Podolyany were confidently in the lead (20:18), and it seemed that they were about to equalize the score by sets. However, the coach of the Dnipro team, Flavio Gulinelli, decided to replace Ian Yereshchenko with Dmytro Yanchuk. And he, in turn, justified all the hopes of the Italian coach. The attacker made two aces, which established parity on the scoreboard (21:21). At the decisive moment, Dmytro Shapoval served a very powerful serve (24:23), and in the next episode, Dmytro Teromenko scored a "let" point - 25:23.
After a long break, the teams lost neither strength nor desire to surprise the audience with their high-class game. Both the Podolyany and the Dnipro team continued to intrigue (4:4 – 8:8 – 16:16). And the end of the set was the key one again, where "Prometey" once again managed to concentrate better and kept a cool mind. 25:23 and 3-0 for the club from Dnipro.
The most effective player of the meeting was Michal Finger (18 points) the opposite of "Epicenter-Podolyany".
The MVP award went to Vitalii Shchytkov, the captain and setter of VC Prometey.
