In Daugavpils, Latvia, the EEVZA-2022 championship among women's volleyball teams in the age category under 17 years ended. We would like to remind you that from December 6 to 10, six national teams took part in the competition: Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, and Georgia.
During five game days, the blue-yellow team won three "easy" victories over Lithuania, Latvia, and Georgia, but suffered two defeats against Poland (0-3) and Estonia (1-3). This was enough for our girls to become silver medalists.
"Gold" was won by Poland: the representatives of this country finished the championship with a hundred percent victory rate. The hosts of the tournament, the Latvians, finished in third place, claiming the highest awards until the last. However, in a decisive match for themselves, they conceded exactly to the Poles.
