On September 17, at 11:00, the women's national team of Ukraine will meet with Serbia in the match of the second round of the qualification tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games. The blue-yellow team, in particular, will have the opportunity to repay the "debt" to the opponents for the recent defeat in the group stage of Euro-2023. Not so long ago, the Serbian national team reached the final of the continental championship 2023, for the fourth time in a row. Before that, they had the status of European vice-champion, so, of course, they sought to surpass this achievement.
However, in the decisive match, the Serbs had to play against unyielding Turkey. In a surprisingly interesting match, the Turkish women were stronger. So Giovanni Guidetti's wards only renewed their title of silver medalists.
But the volleyball players of Serbia are already the current world champions. In the last draw of the competition, they won all twelve of their matches. In particular, in the finals, they defeated Brazil without any kind of problems — 3-0.
The team leader is the opposite - Tijana Bošković. The athlete became the best scorer of Euro-2023 and the most valuable player (MVP) of the World Championship-2022.

The national teams of Ukraine and Serbia played against each other twice: at the group stage of the European Championship in 2011 and 2023, where our teams won convincing victories.
