In its debut game at the Euro, Ukraine was unable to force a fight against Serbia (0-3). However, the blue-and-yellow team rehabilitated the very next day, confidently triumphing over Hungary (3-0), which balanced the number of won/lost games.
At first, Belgium also didn't leave a single chance to Hungary (3-0), and then in a difficult and interesting match, they defeated Slovenia (3-1). The latter took one set and had all the chances to move the match to a tie-break, but did not realize five (!) set balls. The final numbers on the scoreboard — 32:34 — were indicative here from the point of view of the crazy intrigue.
Our team should be wary of the attacks of the leader of the Belgian national team, Britt Gerbots. The outside hitter became the best scorer in the first two confrontations of her team. She scored 16 points against the Hungarians, and 27 against the Slovenians.

In their entire history, the national teams have played each other only once - at the European Championship 2019. The Belgians won over the Ukrainians - 3-0 (25:10, 25:19, 25:22).
It should be noted that the last EC draw was unsuccessful for the blue-yellow team, who won only one victory over Portugal (3-0) in five matches. Instead, in addition to Belgium, they lost to Poland (1-3), Italy (0-3), and Slovenia (2-3). As a result, our athletes took only fifth place, missing the playoffs.
