On February 26, the final match of the first stage of the Ukrainian volleyball championship "Super League-Dmart" of the 2023-2024 season was held by the team of the Poltava region-VC "Reshetylivka-Barkom-Kazhany" and VC "Law Academy" from the city of Kharkiv.
For the latter, by the way, this match had no tournament significance. The players of Kharkiv have already secured fourth place in the standings and guaranteed themselves a place in the playoffs of the national championship. But for the players of Poltava, a victory in this game would bring a place in the "six" of the best teams of the tournament.

This argument became a good motivation for Serhii Sosnin's wards, and from the first minutes of the meeting, they began to demonstrate a serious struggle. In general, the people of Poltava spent the opening set better, especially thanks to the effective game in the attack of their captain Nik Sotnyk (scored 5 of 7 goals - realized 71% of attacks). "Reshetylivka" delivered 3 blocks and in total implemented 72% of attacks, while "lawyers" successfully completed only 50% of attacks. In the end, 25:20 - the first part of the game was for the Poltava residents.
In the second set, volleyball players from the Poltava region dominated the serve and caused a lot of problems for the opponents on the reception (5:0 – 12:7). Then the air raid alarm sounded and the players of both teams, referees, spectators, and all staff were forced to take shelter. After the "MiG" sat down but unfortunately did not fall, the game continued. We do not know what the head coach of Reshetylivka Serhii Sosnin said to his wards during this break, but their motivation, energy and strength seemed to have increased even more (15:8 - 18:8). The Kharkiv team got a little higher in the score, because Mykyta Arbuzov had a powerful serve. But this was not enough. 25:18 for "Reshetylivka-Barkom-Bazany".
In the third set, a difficult struggle ensued (6:6 – 16:16). Closer to its end, Andrii Stebletskyi served an ace, and Danylo Fedosieiev made a block, thus earning break points (18:16). With a minimal margin, the "lawyers" still won the set - 25:22.
The next set also took place according to the scenario of Kharkiv residents. They were in a good mood, corrected their mistakes, listened to the mentor's advice, and as a result tied the score in sets - 25:17 and 2-2.
The tie-break became no less interesting than the entire match. It started with an even fight (4:4), but the Poltava residents could not impose it the whole set. More physical and moral strength remained for "Law Academy" - 15:13.
The most productive player of the meeting was the captain of the "Law Academy" Vitalii Sukhinin (26 points). He received the MVP award.
