Super League-Dmart 2023/24 (women)
5th round. The sixth game. December 22
"Halychanka-ZUNU" — "Regina-MEGU-OSHVSM" 2-3 (25:23, 25:21, 19:25, 17:25, 11:15)
"Regina" beat "Halychanka" for the second time in the Super League-Dmart 2023/24 match. This allowed the team to break away from Ternopil players, who occupy the last step in the tournament table, by three victories and six points.
Well, it was very difficult for the wards of Liudmyla Chornenka to get their debut victory in the season. It was with such a mood that they started this match (5:2). Thanks to the tight serve of Anastasiia Zgurska, who at the same time distinguished herself with several aces, "Regina" returned to the game (8:8). Then the teams exchanged local spurts, and we once again regained parity (20:20). The final minutes turned out to be very tense, but the last word was left to the Ternopil team - 25:23.
The development of the second party resembled the previous one. "Halychanka" confidently possessed the initiative, acting steadily in the final stage of attacks (8:7, 15:13). At the same time, the team was led by its best scorer Maryna Mircheva. At the crucial moment, Diana Holod scored another powerful serve, after which the gap increased to three points (21:18). The Rivne team couldn't resist the opponent in this set anymore - 25:21.
In the third set, however, the sides were quite even, exchanging effective combinations (10:10). At a certain moment, the Ternopil athletes lost their concentration for a moment and missed a three-point spurt of the opponent. Time-outs from Liudmyla Chornenka only briefly stabilized the situation. Soon, the representatives of Rivne knocked out rivals from the reception and finished the set in their favor - 19:25.
Emboldened by previous success, the "Regina" volleyball players seem to have thrown off the shackles. Everything and even more started to work out. On the other hand, not a trace remained of the passion of "Halychanka", with which they triumphed in the first two sets: in the end, they lost the fourth set and the tie-break - 17:25 and 11:15, respectively.
