On January 11, the current champions of Ukraine will continue their performances in the Champions League 2024. On this day, as part of the 5th round of the group stage of the tournament, "Prometey" will try to take revenge on "Volero Le Cannet" for the previous "easy" defeat. The match will take place at 18:00 at nominally the home arena of the "red and whites" in the Romanian city of Mioveni.

Tournament position
After four rounds played, "Prometey" has one victory against the Romanian club "Alba Blaj" (3-2) and three defeats, two of which were against the Polish team "LKS Lodz" (0-3 and 2-3). They were unable to oppose the Ukrainians to their closest opponents from France: "Volero Le Cannet" did not give the "red and whites" a single set at that time.
Currently, our volleyball players are closing the standings of Group E. Meanwhile, the French are the sole leaders. The "Volero" team, as we mentioned above, overcame the resistance of "Prometey" (3-0) and "LKS" (3-2) and exchanged victories with "Alba Blaj" (3-2, 0-3).
Regulations of the competition
At this stage of the Champions League, there are five groups in total. Their winners will go directly to the 1/4 finals. All second-placed teams and one of the third-placed teams with the best results will form three pairs that will play for tickets to the quarterfinals. The other four teams from the third places will be transferred to the quarter-finals of the CEV Cup.
