From the first minutes of the meeting, Bukovyna took the lead (5:3 – 10:5). The coach of "Prometey" Andrii Levchenko immediately had to take a time-out, but it did not change the course of the starting set (18:16). Dnipro twice came closer to the opponent in the score (17:18 – 23:24). However, Shapoval's mistake in the attack did not allow the set to transfer into the "more or less" game in the end. And we should give credit to the players of Chernivtsi, their serve and block looked a little better (3 blocks and 3 aces). 25:23 in favor of "Bukovyna".
In the second set, the teams kept the intrigue for a while (3:3 – 6:6). But then the reigning champion of the country began to demonstrate quality volleyball and showed who is the favorite not only of this confrontation but also of the entire tournament (12:7 - 18:14). The effective game of the Serbian outside hitter Mihajlo Stankovic and his teammates led to victory in this set - 25:21.
The next part of the game also followed the scenario of the Prometey team: Polish middle blocker Dawid Dryja earned break points thanks to two blocks, and outside hitter Ivan Kryvobok successfully completed his % of attacks. 25:19 - in favor of the Dnipro team.
The fourth set was the final one in this game. "Prometey" immediately organized a super comfortable advantage (7:1). However, the volleyball players of the Chernivtsi team were able to reduce the deficit to a minimum (5:7) on the serve of Ruslan Chervatiuk. Then there was an ace from Maksym Svyrydov and an even score on the scoreboard (9:9). Lack of experience prevented Bukovyna players from developing this success and "stealing" at least 1 point from Dnipro. 25:16 and 3-1 in favor of the team from Dnipro.
Dmytro Shapoval the opposite player of the Dnipro team was the most productive player of the match (17 points). He received the MVP award.
