In the championship of Ukraine in volleyball among the men's teams of the Super League-Dmart, the most interesting begins - the matches of the playoff series.
According to the regulations of the current season, the first and second places qualified directly for the semi-finals. These teams became VC "Prometey" (Dnipro) and VC "Zhytychi-Polissia" (Zhytomyr).
Teams that, according to the results of the first stage of the tournament, took 3-6 places will play in a playoff series, where the third team will meet with the sixth, and the fourth - with the fifth.
The participants of the play-off round will be: "Epicenter-Podolyany" (Horodok), VSC "Law Academy" (Kharkiv), "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" (Ternopil), and "The team of Poltava Region-VC Reshetylivka-Barkom-Kazhany" (Reshetylivka).
They formed the following pairs:
"Epicenter-Podolyany" - "The team of Poltava region-VC Reshetylivka-Barkom-Kazhany"
VSC "Law Academy" - "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo"
There is a favorite in each of the two confrontations, but the playoff matches, i.e. "relegation", are interesting because each of the teams has a chance to continue the fight for medals.
Whether Ternopil and Poltava players will use their opportunity to create a sensation in the domestic Super League, we will find out already this weekend.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played up to two victories, and the matches directly for medals - up to three. The teams that lost in the 1/4 finals will compete for 5-6 places to two championships.
In the semi-finals, VC "Prometheus" will play against the winner of the duel VSC "Law Academy" - "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo", and VC "Zhytychi-Polissia" will play against the stronger team of the confrontation "Epicenter-Podolyany" - "The team of Poltava region-VC Reshetylivka- Barkom-Kazhany".
