From January 18 to 21, 2023, the third round of matches of the Men's Super League-Budinvest 2022-2023 regular championship will start in Chernivtsi.
Matches of the VII game week, as usual, will be held at the "PVLU" arena and without spectators. However, you can watch all matches without exception on the YouTube channel Divisport Volleyball.
On the eve of the final third circle of the "regulars", we have the clear leaders of the championship - "Epicenter-Podolyany" (13 victories in 14 matches and 39 points) and "Prometey" (12 victories and 36 points).
By the way, the current champion of the country is actually having some problems now: Andrii Rohozhyn, Yevhenii Kisiliuk, and Oleksandr Nalozhny are currently injured. And their participation in the matches against VC "Zhytichi-Polissya" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" is a big question. Instead, middle blocker Maksym Drozd, who broke his finger back in December, is already practicing with his team.
As for VC "Prometey", an outside hitter Dmytro Shorkin is still undergoing treatment. All others, according to the head coach Andrii Levchenko, are ready for battle.
"The team gathered on January 3. Everyone is now in a good mood, and feeling well. We approached the upcoming meetings with the "Barkom-National team of Ukraine U-18" and VC "MHP-Vinnytsia" prepared. We also played sparring with the Kharkiv team "Law Academy" in order to get ourselves in the game tone. Still, three weeks without matches are showing," says the coach of Dnipro.
Kharkiv team VSC "Law Academy" most actively prepared for future confrontations: Kharkiv players had sparring matches with the National team of Ukraine U-18 and "Prometey". "Lawyers" are in full readiness and full of desire to improve their tournament position.
There are not many changes for the Super League-Budinvest outsiders.
"Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" has decided that it no longer needs the help of Yaroslav Kovalchuk. And VC "Reshetylivka", on the contrary, "closed" the position of the outside hitter - it appears to be Volodymyr Skorbatyuk, whom the fans could see in the "MHP" team before.
Volodymyr Romantsov, the coach of the youngest team of the national championship "Barkom-National team of Ukraine U-18", said that his team is fully prepared for the VII round of the Super League-Budinvest: "During the New Year holidays, the team has not undergone any changes. We hope that rest and active training will bear fruit and contribute to the improvement of the performance of our young team."
