Saturday's game day was opened by teams from Kharkiv VSC "Law Academy" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" from Ternopil. The latter, by the way, produced an enchanting first set. Yurii Kravtsov's team had everything: aces by Andrii Horbenko (5:3) and Yurii Palasyuk (12:9), and pipes by Artur Handziy (21:15). Ternopil allowed the "lawyers" to score only 16 points - 25:16.
Later, the Kharkiv players were already in the lead, their serves and attacks reached the goal, while the Ternopil volleyball players, on the contrary, made a lot of their own mistakes (20:13). As a result, 25:19 in favor of "Law Academy" and 1:1 in sets.
After the break, the "policemen" were brave again: the setter Oleksandr Prokopets was motivated to beat his ex-team, and every time he did a "cut shot" accurately, and captain Yuriiy Palasyuk was excellent on the block (18:12). In the end, Ternopil won another set - 25:17.
The fourth set was played according to the scenario of Yuri Kravtsov's team: they demonstrated a better reception (63% against 36%), which was exactly what was needed to organize powerful attacks. Andrii Horbenko, who, by the way, started the current season precisely in "Yuracademia" - 25:21 and 3:1 in favor of "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" put an end to the match with an attack from the second zone.
The most productive player of the match was Andriy Horbenko, the opposite of "Security Police" (22 points). He received the MVP prize from the tournament organizers.
