The regular game day of the 8th round of the Super League-Dmart opened with a match between the youngest teams of the championship - "National Team of Ukraine U-15" and "National Team of Ukraine U-17". In the matches of the first two circles of the championship, the older team won, and both times three sets were enough for success.
Today was the most unpredictable confrontation between these teams in the championship. The 15-year-old "teams" started the match fully ready for the game, leading in the score 6:3, 9:7. Anastasiia Kotlyarenko's team won the first half of the set minimally (13:12). At that moment, one of the team's leaders, Daryna Onishchenko, had 4 points, who continued to perform very effectively (26 points in the match). At the end of the set, the youngest team of the championship came close to taking the set - 21:17, 24:22. The efforts of "National Team of Ukraine U-15" were crowned with success: for the first time in three matches, the team was stronger than its opponent in a single set.
"National Team of Ukraine U-15" started the second set in one breath - 9:4. At this moment, the head coach of the opponent, Volodymyr Podkopaiev, took a time-out and spoke very harshly with his team. However, even after that, the youngest team in the championship continued to dominate on the court. During the second half of the set, their lead over the opponent was 8 points. "National Team of Ukraine U-15" took the second set in a row and twisted the intrigue as much as possible in this confrontation. By chance, the team earned at least the second point in the standings.
After a 10-minute break, Anastasiia Kotlyarenko's team took three consecutive rallies, but the opponent responded with an even more significant 5:0 run. "National team of Ukraine U-17" managed to seize the initiative and confidently won this set - 25:17.
Volodymyr Podkopaiev's team started very strongly and the fourth set as well - 7:2, 14:8. "National team of Ukraine U-17" confidently dominated and took the game to the fifth set, allowing the opponent to score only 15 points in the current one.
In the decisive set, "National Team of Ukraine U-17" was the first to claim victory in the match - 3:1, 6:4. In response, Anastasiia Kotlyarenko's team minimally took the first half of the set (8:7). The psychological advantage passed to the younger girls. In the second half, they were already ahead by 3 points (11:8), and although the opponent tied the score (11:11), they won both this set and the match in general (3:2).
"National Team of Ukraine U-15" won the first victory in the championship and scored 3 points, while the "National Team of Ukraine U-17" has 16 points.
