The first stage of the championship of Ukraine among men's Super League-Budinvest teams of the 2022/23 season has come to an end. According to the results of the regular season, the quarterfinal pairs of the playoffs were determined.
According to the Director General of the Professional Volleyball League of Ukraine Andrii Lopa, the intrigue regarding the location of the teams in the standings lasted until the final round:
- Everything was decided in the last matches, where the fight was fought literally for every rally. And, most likely, the final standings turned out to be a real surprise for many of us. Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18 was a pleasant discovery of the championship, who throughout the first stage showed a pretty good game and repeatedly defeated more famous opponents.
In such a tough and uncompromising fight, the blue-yellow team was just slightly short of finishing the regular season above the last step. Therefore, in the 1/4 finals, they will play against the first team in the competition - Epicenter-Podolyany.
- We are waiting for exciting playoff matches, which will start on March 7, - noted Andrii Stepanovych. - We invite everyone to watch. We hope that with each game the teams will show even better and more meaningful volleyball. And the culmination of this event will be fighting for medals of any kind - from "bronze" to "gold".
The director general of PVLU is satisfied with the development of the championship of Ukraine and the level of play demonstrated by the participants of the championship. However, we must remember, thanks to whom volleyball in our country is able to exist today:
- In extremely difficult times, Ukrainian volleyball continues to gain new fans. However, all this would not have happened without the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which continue to defend the native land from the rashist invasion. We thank all our soldiers for a peaceful future!
Andrii Lopa added that many did not believe in Ukrainian volleyball and the creation of the Professional Volleyball League of Ukraine. However, the president of the league, Volodymyr Dubinsky, proved to everyone that there is volleyball in Ukraine. And it will continue to progress!

The 1/4 final matches are played until two victories.
