At the 13,000-capacity arena in the city of Łódź, Ukrainian volleyball players met with the National team of Poland, which recently won the Nations League 2023.
The wards of Uģis Krastiņš lost to their opponents on the tie-break.

Unfortunately, Dmytro Teromenko, the middle blocker of the national team of Ukraine, suffered an unfortunate injury in this match. It is not yet known who will replace him in the European Championship matches.
Another blocker Maksym Drozd will also not play at Eurovolley 2023. He was replaced by the player of VC "Barkom-Kazhany" Bohdan Mazenko.
Now men's national team of Ukraine is going to the Bulgarian city of Varna, where the matches of the European Championship will be held in group B. The opponents of the Ukrainians will be the national teams of Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Finland, and Spain.
