The starting line-up of the national team of Ukraine: Poluian (scored 20 points), Synytsia (2), Semeniuk (10), Shchurov (4), Kovalov (4), Tupchii (14), Boiko (l), Kanaiev (l). Substitutes: Plotnytskyi (13), Kucher (0).
The starting set started unexpectedly for the Ukrainian team: the Qataris led the score 1:5. But gradually, the "blue-yellows" got close to the opponent (14:14), and then won this first set - 25:22.
Then on the court, there was an absolutely equal fight (19:19 – 23:23), which was won by the Qatar national team at the end of the set - 27:29.
In the third set, our team's game seemed to settle down completely (7:10 - 10:15). But... timely time-outs by Ugis Krastins with correct instructions, and the score was already equal (17:17). The game went to "more or less" and the game of the captain of the team Oleh Plotnytskyi was decisive here - 26:24 and 2-1 for Ukraine.
In the fourth set, the Ukrainians finally began to dictate the pace of the game (9:6). Then the advantage only increased (21:15), and the Qataris started to make mistakes on the serve, which ultimately led to a lost set and game - 25:21 and 3:1 in favor of Ukraine.
The most effective player of the Ukrainian national team was Tymofii Poluian (20 points).
On October 7 at 23:00 Kyiv time, the Ukrainians will play against the Czech national team.
