The first set was under the complete control of the representatives of the Poltava region (3:0). Aces by Vladyslav Tyshchenko and a block by Oleksandr Hriuk only increased the initial advantage of the Poltava residents (8:2). Then they reached +10 points (18:8 – 22:12) and remained unchanged until the end of the set - 25:15.
The beginning of the second game was equal (8:8). Both teams made mistakes on serves. Hriuk's single block and the opponent's mistakes led the Poltava residents to the lead (14:8) until Mykhailo Yakushenko the opposite of "MHP" went to serve (15:17). The coach from Vinnytsia made several substitutions, in particular he changed the setter, libero and outside hitter. It was Anatolii Fudar, who replaced Oleksandr Lukiants, who became one of the key players in this part of the game - he effectively attacked and blocked (18:18). Later, the players of Reshetilivka were a little confused because of the lost advantage, while Vinnytsia bravely equalized the score in sets - 25:22.
A long break brought Serhii Sosnin's wards to their senses. And again the advantage was earned at the start of the set thanks to two aces by Vladyslav Tyshchenko (3:1). The game consisted of long rallies, which most often ended in favor of "Reshetylivka" (20:15). The players of Vinnytsia fought to the last, but the more experienced players of "Reshetylivka" still took the upper hand - 25:18.
The fourth set was the last: the teams fought a little on equal footing at the beginning (3:3). But then the representatives of the Poltava region took the lead (10:6 – 16:9) and did not give it back - 25:17 and 3-1 as a result.
The most productive player was the captain of "Reshetylivka" Nik Sotnyk (20 points).
The MVP award went to the middle blocker of "Reshetylivka" Oleksandr Hriuk.
Tomorrow, December 2 at 15:00, "Reshetylivka" will play against "Zhytichi-Polissia", and "MHP" will play against Zhytomyr on December 3 at 12:00.
