The Balta team, albeit with difficulties, still made a triumphant start in a new stage of the championship of Ukraine. The players of "Halychanka-ZUNU" were in the lead during the match, but they could not keep the advantage.
The match started with an ace by Oleksandra Osypenko, the outside hitter of the Ternopil team. Captain Valeriia Dromova and company secured the success of their teammate — 0:5. The Balta team had problems with reception, which is exactly what Serhii Koltsov explained to them during the time-out. The latter tried to find their own game throughout the set. For their part, their opponents steadily scored points — 17:25.
Balta's problems continued in the next game - 2:5. They lacked mutual understanding between the passer and attackers. Ternopil, on the other hand, made fewer mistakes in the attack, because the team was confidently led by the already-mentioned Dromova. However, towards the end of the segment, representatives of Odesa took the initiative and for the first time in this meeting broke out into the lead - 22:21. Of course, Ludmila Chornenka's team could not recover from such a psychological punch — 25:22.
Then we witnessed a "more-or-less" game. Despite the solid leadership of the Balta team (6:1), "Halychanka", in particular, thanks to the organized block, completely turned the tide of the third set - 9:17. Serhii Koltsov's team woke up for the final rallies, but it was already too late - 19:25. A similar picture of the game, but exactly the opposite, could also be observed in the fourth segment — 25:15. On the tie-break, fortune also smiled to the players from Odesa - 19:17.
