The FIVB Board of Administration has approved several key amendments to the FIVB Sports Regulations, paying particular attention to the rules on changing the federation of origin and activities of licensed agents. These disturbances will come into force from September 21.

A significant change is that the amendments tighten the residency requirements for athletes wishing to change their federation. The required period of residence has now been extended to three years compared to the previous two. In addition, they must not be played for the national team of their federation.

To achieve fairness and proportional representation, the fee structure for switching federations has been redesigned. The previously fixed fee has been replaced by a scaled fee system that takes into account the investment of the player's original federation in their development and the difference in categories between national unions.

For the first time since 2014, significant changes have been made to the rules governing the activity of FIVB-licensed agents. They are aimed at preventing potential conflicts of interest, in particular by paying attention to double representation.

These updates establish specific licensing conditions for national agents. Especially in cases where federations have their own rules.
