The second semifinal of the League Cup promised to be even more exciting than the confrontation between "Balta" and "DobroDiy". "Prometey" and "Alanta" were fighting for the second ticket to the finals. In the championship, the rivals exchanged victories in three sets. At the same time, the success of the team from Prometey took place recently, on the first day of December. Today it was possible to assume that the winner would be decided in four or five sets, and that's how it happened in the end.

At the beginning of the match, "Prometey" managed to achieve a starting advantage - 8:4. In response, "Alanta" took 3 rallies in a row, and in a few minutes took the lead (10:9). In the second half of the set, neither team could be favored for a long time either. With a parity of 18:18, Andrii Romanovych's team managed a 3:0 run, which largely decided the fate of the set in favor of "Prometey".

In the first half of the second set, "Alanta" several times managed to reach the "+3" handicap, which the Dnipro team increased by another point at the end of the half (13:9). From this advantage, the team could push back in order to equalize the score in sets. The second half gave the fans a lot of long rallies, but at the same time "Alanta" was more persistent and in the final part of the set managed to double its advantage (22:14). After that, it became clear that Gariy Yeghiazarov's team would not give up to their opponent in this very important set.

In the long break, "Prometey" managed to find reserves to strengthen the game, leading in the score 11:6. At that moment, Gariy Yeghiazarov took the time-out, whose team needed to "get back into the game." Already in the first half of the set, after Stanislava Parfionova's ace, the deficit of "Alanta" became minimal (11:12), and then the score became even (13:13). With this parity, the Prometey team ran ahead again with a 5:1 jump, but they did not develop their advantage again in this set, allowing the opponent to equalize the score (18:18). And yet, "Prometey" found the strength to have this very important set in their favor, and with the same score as the first one - 25:20.

The debut of the fourth set was promising for Andrii Romanovych's team - 8:4 in its favor. In response, "Alanta" first equalized the score three times in the first half of the set, and then took the lead (13:11). In the second half, the handicap of the Dnipro team was already 7 points (21:14), which decided the fate of the set - the same "+7" in favor of "Alanta".

The second finalist of the League Cup was decided on a tie-break. The decisive set was rich in great plot twists. The teams alternately led, and "Alanta" took the first half of the set - 8:6. At the beginning of the second half, the team from Dnipro demonstrated a brilliant defense, which allowed them to go "+4" (11:7). "Prometey" did not give up and, thanks to their excellent game qualities, immediately won five consecutive rallies - 12:11 in his favor. The fate of the trip to the finals was decided in the "more-less" game. In the end, "Alanta" became the finalist, and won the set with a score of 16:14.

Already tomorrow, in the final match for the League Cup, the club from Dnipro will play against "DobroDiy-Meduniversitet-ShVSM".
