EEVZA Championship (girls U-17)

December 8. Daugavpils Latvia

Ukraine — Poland 0-3 (21:25, 21:25, 14:25)

On December 8, Andriy Romanovych's men faced a difficult test against powerful Poland in the EEVZA-2022 championship. Both teamы have not lost before this game. And many predicted that today they will unofficially play among themselves for the title of the winner of the competition.

The first set was marked by "swings". The national team of Ukraine led 5:0 on the service of Oleksandra Shkarupa. Unfortunately, it was not possible to develop the initial success. On the contrary, the blue-yellow team began to make more mistakes, due to which the Poles not only equalized parity but also secured a comfortable handicap of 8:15.

It is interesting that our athletes managed to recover (19:19). But one got the impression that they were afraid of their own success and eventually failed the ending - 21:25. A similar picture could be observed in the next set. After all, it ended with a similar score.

All the hopes of the Ukrainian team were in the third set, which could become a turning point for them. But the representatives of Poland started it quite confidently - 3:9. Having caught courage, they only increased their advantage with each draw - 14:25.

So, on December 9, in the fourth round of the EEVZA, Ukraine will play against Estonia. The broadcast is on the DIVISPORT VOLLEYBALL YouTube channel at 11:00 a.m.
