5th round. The second game. December 21

SC "Prometey" — "Alanta" 3-0 (25:19, 25:9, 25:19)

In the central match of the 5th round of the Super League-Dmart, the "red and whites" won a convincing victory over the representatives of "Alanta". For this, they once again needed only three sets.

Gariy Yegiazarov's wards confidently started this meeting, showing a good performance in the final stage of combinations (1:3, 3:5). However, "Prometey" added with each new rally both on the block and in the attack. In particular, it was difficult for the volleyball players of "Alanta" to cope with the attacks of Marta Drpa and Bojana Milenkovic (15:9).

At a certain moment, we witnessed a long rally, which was ended by Marta Fedyk with a successful "pipe". This moment should have inspired her team to do something more. However, their own mistakes, in particular, on the serve, crossed out all their efforts - 25:19.

The next set was entirely and completely dictated by the "red and whites". Every point was difficult for their rivals. During the time-outs, Yegiazarov tried to convey to his wards that they should act more powerfully in the attack. But it was too difficult to overcome the protective redoubts of "Prometey" - 25:9.

The beginning of the third set was somewhat unexpected. Because it was "Alanta" that seized the initiative and even forced Petkov to take a 30-second break (1:6). The time-out benefited the current champions of Ukraine: even before the middle of the set, Svitlana Dorsman put her team ahead with an ace (9:8). This moment became a turning point in this set — 25:19.
