"Bukovynka" volleyball players prevailed over players of "Dobrodiy" in the final confrontation of the first day of the IXth round of the Super League-Dmart 2023/24. However, for this, they needed four sets.

Both teams demonstrated interesting and combinational volleyball from the first minutes of the match. At the same time, the initiative, albeit minimal, was possessed by the team from Chernivtsi (5:3). After several rallies, in particular, after the effective actions of Daria Kaplanska, the advantage of the "Bukovynka" became double (10:5). A 30-second break from Yuliia Yakusheva contributed to the fact that her team reduced the gap to a minimum, returning the intrigue (13:12).

Artem Dyhtiarenko also took a time-out, during which he brought his wards to their senses, asking them to play more aggressively. It worked because the Chernivtsi team immediately organized a rush (17:12). As a result, it became decisive in this set — 25:19.

The representatives of "Bukovynka" started the next set powerfully. The middle blockers of "Dobrodiy" in those minutes regularly did not have time to "cover" the shots of the opponents, because Veronika Tverda acted variably and, most importantly, unexpectedly for the opponents (9:4). On the other side of the net, Valeriia Yakusheva and Diana Kryva responded with effective attacks (10:9).

Then the fans experienced a real déjà vu because they had already seen something similar in the previous set. When the players from Vinnytsia almost caught up with the opponents, they received a spurt in response (13:9). It is worth paying tribute to the latter: they did not give up, continued to fight, and even had a chance for a tie-break (23:21), but in the end, the volleyball players from Chernivtsi had the last word - 25:22.

There were changes in the composition of "Bukovynka": Polina Dziuba, Kateryna Huseinova and Kima Zharkova entered the game. Perhaps this is the reason for the confident leadership of "Dobrodiy" at the beginning of the third set (4:8). It was noticeable that the team from Vinnytsia had significantly improved their game in defense, and at one point their advantage was six points (12:18). The players from Chernivtsi decided to take on their opponents with creativity and strong serving. For example, Maria Kaplanska's streak of aces leveled parity. However, this time fortune was on the side of Yuliia Yakusheva's wards — 22:25.

Despite the previous failure, Artem Dyhtiarenko left the same lineup on the court in the fourth set, and, as it turned out, it was a good choice. The Bukovyna team found their game, as the total score on the scoreboard shows - 25:14 and 3-1 in sets.
