The Chernihiv team started very strongly (4:0). The coach of Bukovyna immediately had to use a time-out. But he did not change the situation either. "Burevisnyk" continued to put pressure on the opponent (6:1). From time to time, the residents of Chernivtsi got closer to their opponent (8:9 - 17:18). But Chernihiv immediately won a breakpoint (20:17). "Bukovyna" volleyball players did not show emotions and looked confused. In the end, 25:21 in favor of "Burevisnyk-ShVSM".
Roman Nosko's team also led in the second set. Chernihiv volleyball players put up several blocks and, most importantly, kept their reception and serve (10:4). But later, due to their own mistakes, they lost a fairly significant advantage (15:15). Bukovyna players tried to turn the tide of the match, but Chernihiv held on and made maximum efforts to win the second set in a row - 25:22.
After a long break, everything changed: the Bukovyna listened to their mentor's advice and began to demonstrate a better game (9:4 – 16:9). Taras Oleksiuk, an opposite player, and Eduard Shteryk, an outside hitter, entered the game on time. In the end, 25:19 is in favor of Bukovyna.
The Chernivtsi team continued to dominate on the court of the PVLU arena with several aces (10:5) and the game at the first pace. Volodymyr Orlov's wards kept a double advantage (16:8) and tied the score in sets - 25:13 and 2-2.
In the decisive fifth set, both teams seemed to be set for a fight. However, the Bukovyna players earned a break point thanks to a block (5: 3), and then there was a series of powerful serves from Eduard Steryk, which did not leave the northerners any chance (11:3). As a result, 15:6 and 3-2 in favor of VSC Bukovyna.
The most productive player in the meeting was Eduard Shteryk (21 points), the outside hitter of Bukovyna. He also received the MVP award.
