SC "Balta" — VC "Bukovynka" 0-3 (20:25, 17:25, 21:25)
Perhaps, the most intriguing match of the first game day of the 1st round took place between "Balta" and "Bukovynka". First of all, both teams have high-quality players in their squads who can demonstrate competitive volleyball. Secondly, the club from Chernivtsi is a "dark horse" and debutant of the Super League-Dmart. Therefore, it was very interesting to watch them play.
A dynamic start was given by teams that competed for every point. However, with each new rally, the initiative slowly shifted to the side of the Chernivtsi team (3:8). The latter combined perfectly and were quite varied in attack.
On the equator of the set, representatives of Odesa reduced their gap to a minimum (11:12). And soon Kateryna Volchenko evened the parity with a well-hit shot. Artem Dyhtiarenko's wards responded to the opponents with a rapid spurt with Mariia Kaplanska's ace (13:16). The teams reached the finish line with equal chances of victory (19:19). Despite this, "Bukovynka" still achieved its goal, producing a phenomenal ending - 20:25.
In the second set, the scenario of the match did not change. We once again witnessed an interesting and equal struggle (7:7). At a certain moment, the Chernivtsi team increased their speed, for which the "Balta" volleyball players were unprepared (15:20). Having provided themselves with a comfortable handicap, they brought the set to their victory - 17:25.
It was predicted that after a long break, Andrii Romanovych's wards would gather their strength and attempt a comeback. However, on the other side of the net, the "bukovynka" have already caught their courage. Therefore, all the attempts of the Balta team to win at least a set were completely destroyed by the ardor of their opponents - 21:25.
