In the final match of the opening game day of the 9th round of the Super League-Dmart, the teams that like to play interesting combination volleyball met and achieved good results. In addition, in this match it was possible to see the fundamental moments, taking into account the proximity of the teams in the "standings" and the potential of their rivalry at the playoff stage.
The starting set was marked by "swings". Blue and yellow took the initiative and immediately transformed it into scored points - 4:2. Even before the middle of the set, the Baltia club managed to level the game and soon took the lead - 8:9. This happened, in particular, due to the fact that Volodymyr Podkopaiev's team repeatedly missed on serves. During the set, the renewed national team, which the day before added Prometey players, made several attempts to regain the lead, but in vain - 20:25.
The development of the next set resembled the previous one: the balance at the beginning smoothly turned into a total advantage of the representatives of Odesa — 8:14. Again, the national team allowed themselves many simple mistakes, for example, in the rotation. Of course, this did not give them any impetus for further struggle. Two consecutive aces by the captain of "Balta" Kateryna Volchenko generally led to catastrophic numbers on the scoreboard - 11:19.
Women's volleyball is beautiful in its unpredictability. Serhii Koltsov's team may have believed in their own triumph too early and allowed the opponents to return to the game - 22:23. However, the Balta team has gathered all their will and pressed the opponents - 22:25.
In the third set, the Ukrainian U-17 national team played more decisively and a little aggressively in a sports way. It bore some fruit because soon they were happy to win their first set in this confrontation - 25:18.
The volleyball players of "Balta" drew conclusions after the previous failure and started the fourth set quite powerfully. Already at the equator, their lead was double — 7:14. The result from the representatives of Odesa again turned out to be somewhat smeared. But this did not prevent them from celebrating the overall victory - 21:25.
