The 8th round of the Super League-Dmart opened with a match between Dnipro's "Alanta" and "Ukrainian National Team U-17". The undisputed favorite of the match was the club from Dnipro. On the eve of the confrontation, the distance between the teams in the standings was two dozen points, and in the matches of the two previous rounds, "Alanta" was stronger. However, in the second match between the teams at the beginning of December, the "National Team of Ukraine U-17" managed to play up from 0:2 and lost the match only in the fifth decisive set.
Therefore, one could fully hope that even today one of the youngest teams of the championship will offer worthy opposition to the current owner of the League Cup. However, the reality did not fully meet expectations: "Alanta" won very confidently. They constantly led the score in the debut set. Already in the middle of the first half of the opening set, the gap between the Dnipro team and the opponent was 4 points - 7:3, 9:5. "National players" had certain problems with reception, which did not go anywhere in the second half of the set. Gariy Yegiazarov's team used these and other mistakes of young rivals, very soon achieving a two-digit and two-time advantage - 20:10. Dnipro club effortlessly brought the set to a victorious conclusion.
In the second set, as in the previous one, "Alanta" quickly organized a solid margin - 8:4, 12:6. In this set, Gariy Yeghiazarov's team did not have any problems either. This time, the Dnipro team allowed their opponents to take 11 rallies.
"Alanta" did not allow itself to relax and already in the first half of the third game its advantage exceeded a double-digit mark, after which there could be no doubts about the outcome of the match.
After this match, "Alanta" had 38 points in the championship, and "National Team of Ukraine U-17" remains with 15 points.
