In the regular match of the 8th game week of the men's Super League-Budinvest, the representatives of the Trostianets VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM" and the Lviv team "Barkom-National team of Ukraine U-18" met. The fans and TV viewers traditionally expected a sensation from the latter. And they almost got it. Volodymyr Romantsov's team started very energetically (5:1). The coach from Vinnytsia immediately had to use one of the time-outs. With small steps or rather successful rallies, "MHP" first got closer to the opponent (12:12), and then broke forward ( 15:13) Then Vinnytsia did not allow themselves any mistakes and won the opening set - 25:18.
The beginning of the next set was fairly even (5:5), but the "youngers" "started up" again and won three points in a row (8:5). Kostiantyn Ryabukha was once again forced to take a time-out in order to slow down the frantic pace of the ambitious youth. The Vinnytsia club was able to catch up with the opponent (10:10), but the game had to be stopped for a while because a large-scale air alert was announced. Everyone went to the shelter. After it ended, the teams once again warmed up and again rushed into the game (15:15). As in the last set, Vinnytsia showed more concentration at the crucial moment (19:16) and all they had to do was hold on to +3. Exactly what they did - 25:21.
The third set started again with the leadership of the "national team" (4:2), but as in the previous episodes, they were not able to hold it: two aces from Danylo Uryvkin (12:10) and the own mistakes of the "youth" (11:15) contributed to this. But the team of Volodymyr Romantsov, without exaggeration, was able to heroically equalize the score on the scoreboard (19:19), and then take the set from "MHP" - 25:23.
Either the players of Vinnytsia did not want to prolong the game, or the team from Lviv finally gave up, but in the fourth set the struggle did not happen a lot (5:10 - 6:13). "MHP" increased their chances for victory in this duel with each rally. As a result, 25:18 and 3:1 in favor of the players from Trostianets.
The most productive player of the match was the outside hitter of VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM" Serhii Mishchenko. Today he brought his team 26 points and received the MVP prize!
