On April 14, the fourth match of the final series of the men's Super League-Dmart of the 2023/24 season took place in Chernivtsi.
We would like to remind you that the first two meetings ended in favor of VC "Prometey" (3:0 and 3:2). In the third match, which also ended in a tie-break, the Epicenter-Podolyany volleyball players were stronger.
The final series of matches for awards lasts until three victories of one of the teams.

From the first minutes of this fundamental confrontation, it was clear that none of the teams was going to give up the victory so easily (14:14). The players of both teams courageously and desperately fought for every ball (17:17). Sometimes both teams - the Dnipro and Podolyany - managed to get a little ahead, but in the end, the score became equal again (22:22 – 25:25). At the end of the set, Dmytro Teromenko successfully completed the attack at the first pace, and the Serbian Mihajlo Stanković served an ace - 27:25.
The second set was no less intense. The teams again sometimes equalized the score, then jumped ahead by several points (11:11 - 12:14 - 17:17). As in the opening set, the opponents went beyond 25 points. But this time the Podolyany played better: their captain Gijs Jorna performed a successful attack, and in the next episode Yevhenii Kisiliuk followed his example - 27:25.
After a long break, the Podolyany immediately took the lead (4:1). "Prometey" did not play well in attack: they sometimes fell into the opponent's block, then outside the area (5:9). "Bisons" completely controlled the course of the game (13:7 - 16:12). However, Dnipro team made several substitutions, Dmytro Yanchuk and Ivan Kryvobok appeared on the court and were able to level the game (18:18 - 22:22). However, a mistake by the "Prometey" on the serve and two blocks by the "Bisons" allowed them to win the second set in a row - 25:22.
It was not surprising that the struggle continued until the middle of the fourth set (8:8 – 13:13). Teams began to make mistakes in serving because they took risks in this difficult element. This risk paid off on Stankovic's serve (15:13). Then the advantage of Dnipro only grew (16:13 – 18:13). Teromenko played excellently in the middle of the net, attacking and blocking his opponents (20:14). As a result, "Prometey" won this set - 25:15 and tied the score in sets in general 2-2.
And again, for the third time, fans of domestic volleyball were awaited by a tie-break in the final confrontation of the men's Super League-Dmart.
At first, the game was even (2:2). However, at the right moment, the "red-and-whites" perfectly played several plays in defense (6:3). And the outside hitter Yanchuk and Stankovic completed their attacks perfectly (7:4). Maximum concentration and mad desire became decisive in this duel. This +3 point advantage was enough to win the decisive fifth set - 15:11 and 3-2 in the end.
VC "Prometey" won the third victory over "Epicenter-Podolyany" in the final series of the Super League-Dmart and defended the title of champion of Ukraine!
