The last two matches between "Dobrodiy" and "Balta" in the Super League-Dmart ended with the victory of Andrii Romanovych's wards on a tie-break. This time, fortune also smiled on the Balta team, but this time they succeded without playing 5 sets.
From the opening minutes of the confrontation, Yuliia Yakusheva's team was clearly determined to win, which they were able to transform into an early lead (3:1). However, representatives of Odesa, in particular, thanks to the efforts of Anastasiia Strelbytska and Ksenia Ratii, responded with a confident spurt (3:6).
The coach of "Dobrodiy" reacted to such audacity of the opponents with a substitution, releasing the club's rookie setter Karyna Siriatska onto the court. It was on this athlete's serve that the team from Vinnytsia turned the tide of the match and took the lead again (9:8). Soon, Oleksandra Kalanchuk's ace forced Romanovych to take a timeout (14:11).
After that, the game leveled out, and the sides began to alternately exchange successful combinations (21:21). The end of the set was interesting and tense at the same time. Because the teams had equal chances to triumph. In the end, the fate of this set was decided by the block-out of Daria Skliarova (23:25).
The victory added confidence to the volleyball players of "Balta". They started the second set more loosely and immediately broke away from their opponents (3:8). Looking ahead, we note that this handicap has become decisive. And unlike the previous set, there was actually no special intrigue here — 19:25.
The long break benefited the players of "Dobrodiy", because they adjusted their aim and significantly improved the block. At the same time, there were many shortcomings in the actions of the Balta team, especially in the final stage of the attacks. As a result, at the equator of the set, the gap between the rivals was eight points (14:6). Andrii Romanovych tried to correct the situation with substitutions, but the comeback did not take place - 25:16.
The fourth set was marked by "swings". The representatives of Vinnytsia once again had a better start, but a 30-second break from the "Balta" coach instilled confidence in his wards. They took courage and led the set to a well-deserved victory - 15:25.
