The fourth round of the Super League-Dmart began with a confrontation between the current outsiders of the Ukrainian volleyball championship - "Burevisnyk-ShVSM" (Chernihiv) and VC "MHP-Ladyzhyn-ShVSM-Kolos" (Vinnytsia).
In the opening set, the struggle did not work out: the northerners were seriously determined to win their first victory in the 2023-2024 season. Middle blocker Mykyta Kushniriuk (3 points) and Artem Horoshko (scored 8 of 7 goals) entered the game quite well - 14:10. Then there were two aces from the opposite Serhii Nechyporuk (18:10). And in the end, the set was deservedly won - 25:14.
The next set was very similar to the previous one, but with one difference - now the team from Vinnytsia dominated the PVLU arena (17:10). Good credit must be given to the Chernihiv club, because until the last rally they did not give up trying and hoping to break the course of the set, however, "MHP" pressed the opponent - 25:21 and tied the score in sets 1-1.
After a 10-minute break, the players of Vinnytsia were in an even higher mood and from the very beginning organized a fairly comfortable lead for themselves (4:0). At this time, the "Burevisnyk" completely lost concentration and made many mistakes (11:18). But in the end, the team again tried to rehabilitate themselves in front of their fans. However, Kyrylo Peredrii's wards still managed to keep the lead - 25:21.
The fourth set was the final in this duel: the Vinnytsia players were more effective in the attack (13:8) and played more confidently on the serve and on the block (17:12). As a result, 25:15 and 3-1 in favor of VC "MHP-Ladyzhyn-ShVSM-Kolos".
MVP setter Volodymyr Skorbatiuk received the MVP award.
