VC "Bukovynka" - "Alanta" 2-3 (25:21, 17:25, 25:23, 23:25, 13:15)
"Bukovynka" and "Alanta" closed the second game day of the 1st round of the women's Super League-Dmart with their confrontation. Both teams had an equally great start to the championship: the Chernivtsi team defeated "Balta", and the Dnipro team defeated "Halychanka". After this match, Gariy Yegiazarov's wards continued their winning streak.
From the first minutes, the Dnipro players tried to build their attacks through Yuliia Kaminska. On the other side of the net, there was a corresponse with an organized block. It is interesting that "Bukovynka" earned their first four points precisely with this game element (4:4).
At a certain moment, the former player of "Alanta" Kateryna Silchenkova took courage and helped her new team provide a comfortable handicap. Gariy Yeghiazarov took a 30-second time-out when the gap between the rivals was five points (13:8).
The aforementioned time-out did not change the situation on the court. On the contrary, after the aces by Kristina Starostenko and Polina Dziuba, "Bukovynka" only came closer to triumph. The end of the match was frankly failed by the Chernivtsi team, which gave the opponents hope for a comeback. But it did not live long, because soon Silchenkova put an end to this set with a shortened serve - 25:21.
Considering how the events developed in the previous set, the second one promised to be even more interesting. And we were not mistaken: a frantic struggle was present from the first rallies, but with one difference - now the Dnipro team had the initiative (5:7). The latter, knocking out the opponent from the reception, steadily developed their advantage (8:14). Artem Dehtiarenko's team tried to rebuild during the set. In the end, they managed to establish connections and return to the game (17:19). However, turns out it was not enough - 17:25.
"Bukovynka" stunned its opponents with its assertiveness from the first minutes of the third set (8:2). At the same time, Yegiazarov's volleyball players made many unforced errors. At the equator, the set did level out: Bohdana Hrytsyk's block-out and her teammates' double block leveled the situation (15:15).
It seemed that the current bronze medalists of the championship had completely studied the girls from Chernivtsi. That's why Dyhtiarenko substituted setters in order to disorient the opponent a little. It worked for a while (21:21), and then Kateryna Huseinova returned to the court and served an ace, earning a set ball. It was implemented already in the next episode - 25:23.
In the fourth set, the teams continued to fight for every point and reached the finish line with equal chances of success (23:23). In the end, fortune smiled on the Dnipro team - 23:25. So the fate of the match was decided on a tie-break, where "Alanta" was stronger - 13:15.
