Women's SC "Prometey" will represent Ukraine in the Champions League in the 2023/24 season. Thanks to the high rating, our team made it to the main draw of the most prestigious club European competitions automatically.

According to the results of the drawing of lots, at this stage of the tournament, Ivan Petkov's wards got into Group E, where their opponents were: "Le Cannet" (France), LKS "Lodz" (Poland), and the future second qualifying team.

Today, the decisive second stage of the qualification ended, where four teams finally made it: "Alba Blaj" (Romania), "Asterix Avo" (Belgium), "Mladost" (Croatia), and "KP Brno" (Czech Republic).

Before the final round, the first two teams booked their tickets to the group round of the Champions League in advance. Meanwhile, in their face-to-face confrontation, it was decided in which group they would end up - D or E.

As a result, the third opponent of the "red and whites" is going to be "Alba Blaj". Losing to the Belgians with a total score of 0-3, the Romanians took second place in the qualification. For its part, "Asterix Avo", as the winner, finally completed the quartet D ("Stuttgart" (Germany), "Conegliano" (Italy), and "Rzeszów" (Poland).

The first two clubs from each group and one best team among the third places will advance to the playoffs.

Let's add that Ukraine was among the best countries in the Champions League rating among women's teams for the last three seasons, being in the company of the leaders of European volleyball: Italy, Turkey, Poland, France, and Germany. This entitles Prometey, as the country's champion, to automatically qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the second year in a row.
