After the completion of the women's continental tournaments, the first participating teams of the World Championship 2025, which will most likely be held in Asia, have been determined.

The last continental tournament in 2023 was the Asian Championship. After that, the names of 16 national teams that have already qualified for the world championship became known.

In total, 32 teams will take part in the competition. The rest of the tickets will be divided between the host countries (there is talk of interest from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China, etc.), as well as the best teams according to the FIVB rating.

The first participating teams of the World Championship 2025:

1. Serbia as the current world champion

2. Brazil as the winners of the South American Championship

3. Argentina as the silver medalist of the South American Championship

4. Colombia as the bronze medalist of the South American Championship

5. Kenya as the winner of the African Championship

6. Egypt as the silver medalist of the African Championship

7. Cameroon as the bronze medalist of the African Championship

8. Turkey as the winner of the European Championship

9. The Netherlands as the bronze medalist of the European Championship

10. Italy as the fourth place at the European Championship (thanks to Serbia's direct qualification as world champions)

11. The Dominican Republic as the winner of the NORCECA Championship

12. The USA as the silver medalist of the NORCECA Championship

13. Canada as the bronze medalist of the NORCECA Championship

14. Thailand as the winner of the Asian Championship

15 China as the silver medalists of the Asian Championship

16. Japan as the bronze medalist of the Asian Championship
