The women's national team of Ukraine will play in the main draw of the European Championship this year. Our national team is placed in Group A, where they will face Serbia, Hungary, Belgium, Slovenia, and Poland. Group round matches will be held from August 18 to 24 in the Belgian city of Ghent.
The blue-yellow team began the final stage of preparation for the continental competition in the Greek city of Athens, where they arrived on August 7, and started training today. In the capital of Greece, the team will also have two sparring matches against the local team, which will take place on August 10 and 11. And on August 16, they will go to Belgium.
The composition of the Ukrainian team, which has been announced for the Euro, has not changed compared to the last matches in the Challenger Cup:
middle blockers: Svitlana Dorsman, Anastasiia Maievska, Uliana Kotar, Diana Meliushkyna;
setters: Daria Sharhorodska, Viktoriia Oliinyk;
outside hitters: Oleksandra Milenko, Yevheniia Khober, Nadiia Kodola, Yuliia Dymar;

We would like to add that four national teams from each group qualify for the 1/8 finals, which are formed as follows:

B: Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Monza, Italy);
C: Greece, Turkey, Germany, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Sweden (Germany);
D: France, Spain, Netherlands, Slovakia, Finland, Estonia (Tallinn, Estonia).
