On July 31, in the Chinese city of Chengdu, the student national team of Ukraine held its second match in the group round of the Universiade volleyball tournament.

The opponent was the Chinese national team.

The first two sets were more or less evenly contested. Only at the ends did the owners of the court break forward and finish the sets in their favor (20:25 and 18:25).

The third set was unsuccessful for the Ukrainians (5:11 – 7:17). The game did not go well, but the Chinese athletes gathered courage and were able to quickly issue an "easy" victory (9:25) and 0-3 in the end.

The key in this game was a large number of mistakes by Ukraine in attack (20 in three sets) and in serving (18 in three sets). Meanwhile, the opponent made only 5 errors on the serve and the same number in the attack.

The most productive player in our team was captain Dmytro Yanchuk (11 points).
