Ukraine — Ireland 3-0 (25:5, 25:12, 25:9)

Andrii Romanovych's team confidently defeated the volleyball players from Ireland in the second round of qualifying for the European Championship 2024. The Ukrainians played the match in one breath, leaving no chance for the opponents to take a single set.

Compared to the previous match, the coaching staff of the blue-yellow team made a significant rotation of the lineup. In particular, Kima Zharkova, Anastasiia Kucher, Kateryna Cherkashyna, and Kateryna Huseinova appeared among the newcomers. On the serve of the last one, our team organized a powerful spurt — 9:0. The setter also distinguished herself with more than one ace. The opponents made a lot of mistakes and in the end, managed to score only five points by the end of the set - 25:5.

In the next set, the representatives of Ireland significantly improved their performance. What's more, at the equator of this set, the gap between the national teams was only two points - 11:9. However, the rivals could not hold the pace of Romanovych's players for long - 25:12.

The third set turned out to be the final one in the confrontation. Ukrainians controlled the course of events on the court, even despite the constant experiments and perturbations of the composition made by Andrii Vasyliovych. Let's note the serve, which became a formidable weapon of our volleyball players today. After all, they did 13 aces throughout the game. As a result, the Irish team did not reach the mark of 10 points - 25:9 in this set.

Let's add that the best scorer of the game was our athlete Anastasiia Kucher. The middle blocker scored 14 points.
